Data Center Fiber Design

No fiber jumpers shall run between the Data Center (321) and the Data Center IDF (322).

All fiber from the Data Center cabinets to the Data Center racks is 50 micron. Following is the CNS fiber installed into Data Center and Data Center IDF:

62.5 Micron Fiber
Cable # Strands Type FIC# Near End FIC# Far End
479 72 MM 589 131 (MDF) 590 322 (Rack 322-03-01)
481 72 SM 585 131 (MDF) 587 322 (Rack 322-03-01)
482 24 SM 586 131 (MDF) 588 322 (Rack 322-03-01)
483 72 MM 591 322 (Rack 322-03-01) 592 321 (Rack 321-37-01)
689 72 MM 820 131 (MDF) 821 322 (Rack 322-03-01)

50 Micron Fiber
Cable # Strands Type FIC# Near End FIC# Far End
688 72 50 MM 818 322 (Rack 322-03-01) 819 321 (Rack 321-37-01)

When CCS needs fiber connectivity to the Data Center IDF, they will submit a shopping cart order. CNS will install fiber jumpers from our equipment to Rack 322-03-01, FIC# 819 and notify CCS of the Fiber pair activated. CCS will be responsible for purchasing and installing fiber jumpers from FIC# 819 in Rack 321-37-01 to the Data Center 50 Micron termination racks, as well as the jumper in the cabinet to their equipment.

Any connectivity out of the building that does not go through the Data Center IDF equipment will need to be designed/discussed on a case by case basis.
